Akashi Blended Whisky is produced by the historic White Oak distillery, located in the city of Akashi, Japan. For the European market, White Oak has replaced the molasses with a grain whisky, creating an age-unlabelled blend that celebrates the pure art of Japanese distillation.

Tasting notes: Light amber in colour, it presents a delicate bouquet, with notes of green apple, pear, vanilla and caramel. A rounded palate, where fruit flavours blend with toasted cereals and a touch of spice.

Kanekou Whisky is a new whisky from
Okinawa, unique of its kind, produced
by Shinzato Distillery, the oldest
family-run distillery in Okinawa,
founded in 1846.
This venerable distillery has faithfully
followed its motto “Wajo Ryoshu”
(translated as “good wine produced in the spirit
of harmony”) for hundreds of years since
its beginning. Continuing in the same
tradition of creating “Harmony”,
that is, forming
a pleasant and coherent whole; the current
seventh-generation owner and
Master Blender Naoya Shinzato has created
Kanekou Whisky by blending three types of
whisky: malt, grain and rice whisky
(Ryukyu Whisky). This original blend
gives rise to an aromatic and rounded flavour
unique to spirits produced on a subtropical
island.

MATURATION
Kanekou is blended exclusively with malt and wheat whiskies aged three years or more, and rice whisky aged in sherry casks for more than 8 years. Ryukyu Whisky is made entirely from rice and aged in oak casks in Okinawa's subtropical climate. The warm, humid climate accelerates the cask maturation process while the light breeze from the Pacific Ocean adds a touch of subtropical flavour.
