Description
Taglio del Tralcio: Aglianico del Vulture with a unique personality
Taglio del Tralcio is an Aglianico del Vulture DOC from Re Manfredi, made from vines grown at 500 meters above sea level on the volcanic soils of Basilicata. The Aglianico, ripened using the "taglio del tralcio" method, undergoes slight dehydration that concentrates aromas and flavors. Red winemaking takes place with alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel, followed by several months of aging.
Blend: 100% Aglianico.
Aging: 6 months in barrels, 6 months in bottle.
Tasting notes: Intense ruby red color with violet reflections. On the nose it offers a bouquet of ripe red fruits, such as cherry and blackberry, with spicy and mineral notes. On the palate it is soft and enveloping, with balanced tannins and a pleasant persistence.
Pairings: It pairs perfectly with cured meats, semi-aged cheeses, red meats, and first courses with flavorful sauces.
Why choose it: An Aglianico del Vulture born from an ancient tradition, giving the wine a unique character and surprising drinkability.
