Leonardo Da Vinci - Appassimento grapes brought to Cesena

Description
Sangiovese Appassimento Grapes Brought to Cesena: Romagna intensity
Sangiovese Appassimento Grapes Brought to Cesena is a Romagna DOC produced by Leonardo Da Vinci with Sangiovese grapes dried for over 60 days. This wine, grown on the clay soils of Predappio and the marl-sandstone soils of Bertinoro and Castrocaro, in Emilia-Romagna, stands out for its structure and concentration of aromas.

Blend: 100% Sangiovese.

Aging: A minimum of 9 months in barrique for part of the batch.

Tasting notes: Deep ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, notes of dried red fruit, sweet spices, and hints of tobacco emerge. On the palate it is warm, soft, and enveloping, with ripe tannins and a persistent finish.

Pairings: Ideal with grilled red meats, game, aged cheeses, and first courses with rich sauces.

Why choose it: A Sangiovese that tells the Romagna tradition of appassimento.
