Jägermeister

Always in fashion
Created in 1934 in Germany, this herbal liqueur immediately distinguished itself from the rest of the category for its sweeter and less bitter taste compared to tradition, which is why it quickly gained popularity among young people. Between the 1970s and 1990s, it managed to reach the top, thanks in part to the famous television commercials, now part of the collective imagination, such as the one that said "with Jägermeister I can digest even my mother-in-law..." or the one where the model Raz Degan said "I didn't drink Jägermeister because... it's my business". Born from the combination of 56 different varieties of herbs, fruits, and spices, the recipe for this liqueur is still followed to the letter and carefully guarded by the company, a true and authentic secret for a product that never goes out of style, destined to remain forever at the peak of popularity.

Dark brown, intense and impenetrable in colour, it offers severe notes even on the nose, with aromatic herbs, mint, balsamic sensations, wildflowers, and sweet spices like cinnamon and cloves, in a balanced and generous mix that translates to the palate, creating a soft and warming sensation, rich in flavour and balanced in the sweet-bitter character that defines it, leading to a long finish of orange peel.

Unicum

"This is unique!"
Distilled with over 40 different types of herbs and spices, Amaro Unicum is one of the oldest herbal liqueurs in all of Europe, with over 200 years of history behind it. It is said that in 1790, Doctor Zwack, court physician to Joseph II, Emperor of Hungary, offered the sovereign a sip of this herbal digestif, and the King's comment was "das ist ein unikum!", thus naming this Unique Amaro. The spices and herbs come from all 5 continents and are collected and ground by hand, still following the traditional recipe, and the aging takes place for years in oak barrels, with frequent tastings by a special committee of tasters.

Intense and impenetrable ebony colour, on the nose it presents a rich bouquet of dark tones, blackberries and plums in jam, bay leaf, juniper, and then cloves, mint, and cocoa, along with toasted sensations of tobacco and leather. The taste impact is powerful, significant, and precise, yet soft and enveloping in the mix of olfactory returns that follow in a perfect sequence corresponding to the nose until reaching the finish, dry and decisive, in a long balsamic trail.

Fernet

The evergreen bitter
When talking about Fernet Branca, one is not simply discussing a bitter, but a true legend: its formula has been jealously guarded and kept secret since its inception, and those who gather the herbs and spices necessary for its composition do not know the quantities. The only one who knows the secret is President Niccolò Branca, who personally oversees the dosing of the spices during production. A true pride and witness of an ancient tradition spanning over a century, this bitter is an evergreen, thanks to its strong and unique taste that confirms it as one of the quintessential after-dinner drinks for Italians.

Dark and intense in colour, with very bright golden reflections. On the nose, it presents an incredible multiplicity of aromas, among the medicinal herbs, sweet spices, and wildflowers, with also balsamic and menthol notes that return in the mouth, in a decidedly bitter attack and taste progression, in a complex of great body and persistence where the generous hints of wild herbs return.

Brancamenta

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....!
Brancamenta has a rather "recent" history in the national landscape of Amari, and it was created by the skilled hands of the Fratelli Branca, a historic Milanese liqueur company since 1845. It is an amaro that is based on Fernet, thus a plentiful and secret blend of herbs and spices, but with the addition of essential oil of Piedmont peppermint, the most balsamic and prized quality of mint in the world. An innovative product aimed at a younger way of drinking amaro, Brancamenta captivates at the first sip, for the intense gustatory pleasure it manages to provide.

With an intense and luminous ebony colour, it offers an incredible refreshing sensation of mint, eucalyptus, and menthol to the nose and mouth, peppermint candy and balsamic puffs, with multiple returns of mountain aromatic herbs, in a context of remarkable pleasantness that makes it perfect for spending happy hours with the people we love. It should be drunk strictly iced, with 2-3 ice cubes or mixed in some cocktails. For those who are more attentive to trends, it should be tried in an ice glass, as a famous advertisement said in the '90s.

Lucano

Amaro Lucano: a noble spirit
Pisticci, Matera, 1854: in the pastry shop of Giuseppe Vena, from a secret recipe that involves the blending of 30 different medicinal herbs, the amaro Lucano was born. Fame and success arrived in 1900, when the Vena family became official suppliers to the Savoy, whose coat of arms still appears on the label. Since 1950, under the guidance of Giuseppe's sons, the company has transformed into an industrial reality, launching a wide range of products, but the amaro remains the flagship of production, ideal for all occasions and extremely versatile. It can be enjoyed neat, chilled, with ice, or with orange peel, and amaro Lucano also proves to be an excellent base for cocktails.

It presents a caramel brown colour, with coppery reflections. On the nose, the classic herbal aromas are distinguished, along with sensations of candied citrus and spices, against a balsamic background. On the palate, the sweet-bitter balance is exemplary, in a succession of aromatic herbal returns that at times recall medicinal herbs and syrup, leading to a dry and clean finish that leaves the palate satisfied.
