Gaitu

€ 25.00

VALLI UNITE - 100% Barbera DOC
Valli Unite produces a splendid Barbera from the Colli Tortonesi called Gaitu. This is a well-structured Piedmontese red wine with a vinous character. Gaitu is a proud example of sustainable and attentive viticulture. The Barbera grapes are harvested from silty and clayey soils at an altitude of around 350 metres above sea level. After manual harvesting from young vines, the grapes ferment spontaneously with only indigenous yeasts, in stainless steel. The wine is then aged in stainless steel and undergoes neither clarification nor filtration. Gaitu is also a wine with no added sulphites. The Barbera dei Colli Tortonesi by Valli Unite presents itself in the glass with an intense ruby red colour. On the nose, it expresses vinous and fruity aromas. On the palate, it is enveloping, straightforward and full-bodied. You can detect a well-polished tannin and excellent acidity, which accompanies the drink and enhances its persistence.

Merlot 1950

€ 26.00

DAVIDE VIGNATO- 100% Merlot
In this Merlot, notes of plum, marasca cherries in spirit, fresh grass and almonds stand out. Fermentation is spontaneous and ageing takes place in steel for 7 months. On the palate it is dry, with lively tannins; the minerality is pronounced. The colour is ruby red with violet reflections.
We are in Veneto, more precisely in Gambellara, at the foot of the Lessini Mountains, less than a kilometre from an extinct volcano, where the vineyards are arranged in a natural amphitheatre characterised by the strong presence of black basalt, an element that gives the wines produced tension, freshness and minerality. Here Davide Vignato works in his winery founded in 1997, where originally his grandfather Rinaldo, then Gian Domenico and now he cultivate and vinify mainly Garganega, seeking to provide as accurate and expressive a picture of the territory as possible through an organic and natural approach that does not use any fertilisers or chemical products. Davide sees the production of his wines as a synthesis "of Gambellara, of the volcanic hills, of its people." In the vineyard, grass cover is used, without synthetic chemical products and with the least interventionist approach possible, and stylistically the wines produced express great mineral verve, frankness, freshness and floral drive, where Garganega, compared with other contexts, is broader and less sharp.
1950 is a Merlot planted in the year of the same name and coming from vineyards on the plain, where the age of the vines is therefore around 75 years.
Dark, taut, herbaceous, mineral, dry wine with a huge ageing potential, despite its charm when approached at a young age.

Coccinea

€ 27.00

TENUTA BELVEDERE- 100% Croatina.
Coccinea is the still Croatina from Tenuta Belvedere. A wine of the landscape, a squeeze of the territory. Powerful, intense, with great character. Ruby violet in colour, it has aromas of ripe cherry, violet, moss, and mushrooms. The taste is crunchy and meaty. A wine with a beautiful structure that releases ripe red fruit and a pleasant astringency on the palate. The finish is long and present. A fine wine of the territory.

Valpolicella DOC

€ 28.00

BRUSCAR- Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella
On the nose, the main aromas are violet, pomegranate and thyme; the result is a finely fruity wine, with floral notes and aromatic herbs. The palate is fresh, agile, fruity and mineral. Pale ruby red in colour.
We are located south-east of Lake Garda, on the Veneto side, where the wines, thanks to the morainic soils with a calcareous-clay composition, are always fresh, vibrant and mineral.
Here Massimo Brutti immediately believed in organic viticulture, working in full symbiosis with the local area in which he is based, where the core values are biodiversity, the preservation of native grape varieties and maximum transparency in the cellar.
The Bruscar Project places Valpolicella at its centre, where it is interpreted in the most traditional and terroir-driven way possible, using exclusively Corvina, Molinara and Corvinone, without over-extraction, without using other non-native grape varieties, and thus bringing out the more distinctly volcanic and mineral character of this area, for far too long the result of standardised and over-extractive production.
In Buscar's Valpolicella we find some of the typical grapes of the Valpolicella blend: Corvina, Corvinona and Rondinella, from young vineyards of around 15 years old located in the heart of the Veronese area. An eclectic, light and easy-drinking wine, as simple and essential as it is deep and expressive, where fruity, floral, mineral, vegetal and sulphurous notes alternate. A great expression of traditional Valpolicella.

Eughenos Harvest Moon 2022

€ 32.00

Mariapaola Di Cato- 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo - rosé Igp Terre Aquilane.

The maturation continues for about 7 months in steel tanks; bottling occurs without prior clarifications or filtrations. The wine presents a characteristic cherry red colour, vibrant and full; on the nose, intense aromas of red fruits, flowers, and sweet spices are noticeable. The palate also reveals the fullness and juiciness of the fruit, accompanied by energetic freshness and good structure.

Wandering Souls

€ 35.00

Mariapaola Di Cato- 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo - Red Terre Aquilane Igt.
The Montepulciano grapes are spontaneously fermented with indigenous yeasts in contact with the skins. The maturation continues for 12 months in steel; bottling occurs without prior clarifications or filtrations. The wine presents an intense ruby red colour; on the nose, the typical aromas of cherry and other red fruits emerge clearly, with spicy hints and notes of liquorice. The fruit is explosive on the palate as well, balanced between freshness, softness, and tannins that enhance the fruity persistence. Suitable for several years of aging.

Alea Viva

€ 39.00

ANDREA OCCHIPINTI - 100% Aleatico.
Among all the expressions of Aleatico offered by Andrea Occhipinti, Alea Viva is the most representative. 100% pure Aleatico, a semi-aromatic grape variety, presented here in a dry version. It has a spicy and mineral nose. Obtained through 15 days’ maceration on the skins and spontaneous fermentation with its own yeasts, it is aged for 18 months in steel/concrete and at least 2 months in bottle.
This type of steel-only vinification tends to yield a very frank wine that remains true to the characteristics of the varietal. It has body, structure, savouriness (let us remember that Gradoli sits on the hills of a volcanic lake) and minerality. A beautiful interpretation of a grape often known for its sweet connotations, which here is given room to express its ambitions and versatility.

€ 40.00

VNA- 45% croatina, 25% syrah, 25% merlot, 5% barbera.

Nonno Mariano from the Di Cato winery is a great wine made from red grapes. It is produced in 666 bottles only in the best vintages.
It is a wine with an intense ruby red colour with slight violet hues, tending towards garnet with aging. The aromas are of sour cherry, spices, liquorice, and cocoa. The taste is full, dry, and appropriately tannic.

Of the mother

€ 40.00

Ettore Germano- Barbera d'Alba superiore.
The wine has an intense ruby red colour with garnet reflections.
On the nose, there are aromas of ripe fruit and
undergrowth, with hints of vanilla, and on the palate, the entry is full and
austere; the slight acidity gives a sensation of freshness and
helps to prolong the aftertaste that repeats the olfactory fragrances.

Asian red

€ 45.00

PICCHIONI- Croatina, Ughetta di Solinga.
Wine produced only in favourable vintages. The grapes, hand-picked in 20 kg crates with careful selection, are destemmed and pressed. The must remains in contact with the skins for about 15 days; it is then racked and transferred to used wood of various sizes. The aging in wood lasts about 24 months, after which the wine is placed in cement tanks and then bottled. The bottles rest lying down in the dark for at least another 6 months before being released for sale. When young, it presents an intense and bright ruby colour. Wide, varied nose, with hints of ripe berries, sour cherry, underbrush, spices, liquorice, and the typical balsamic note of grapes grown in the Solinga valley. On the palate, it is robust, with smooth tannins, full, rich, and broad.

Rosé Nero di Troia IGP Puglia organic (rosé wine)

€ 20.00

DEMAIO- 100% Nero di Troia
The main notes of this rosé wine are pomegranate, sage and rose. On the nose it is delicate and floral, with vegetal hints. On the palate it is graceful, easy-drinking and fairly persistent. Its colour is cherry pink. Puglia has always been one of the strongholds of rosé production.
Here too we find a rather delicate, fresh and enjoyable wine, considering the richness usually associated with a grape such as Nero di Troia. Precise, clean, fragrant and perfect for an uncomplicated glass that is nonetheless deeply rooted in its territory and sincere.
