HB ORIGINAL HELLES
Type: Helles - Origin: Germany - Alcohol content: 5.1%
Hofbräu Original is the original pale beer from the former royal brewery, now owned by the Bavarian state, proudly perceived and displayed on road signs as Freistaat Bayern, the Free State of Bavaria. It has a classic original gravity (12 degrees Plato) and an alcohol strength of 5.1% by volume. The head has truly remarkable basic characteristics in terms of both fineness and density, as well as adhesion and persistence. The appearance shows a beer that is absolutely clear, almost brilliant, with a beautiful golden colour. The aroma intensity is pronounced, revealing distinct malt notes, skilfully balanced by a dry herbal character, especially hay, which covers the fresh hop notes. Fresh but never intrusive, and in the body, which comes across as more than light but cannot be described as fully rounded, it nevertheless leaves a feeling of a wisely balanced beer.
