In its almost thousand years of history, wine production has always accompanied Castello di Meleto and today the goal is to make the most of the talent of this place. After spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in steel, there is a period of maceration on the skins. The subsequent malolactic fermentation is carried out in cement tanks. The wine rests in 54 hl Slavonian oak barrels. Intense ruby red in color, it has distinct notes of cherry with floral hints. Good entry into the mouth supported by the beautiful acidity and full fruit, it has well-expressed but not aggressive tannins. Perfect to accompany traditional Tuscan dishes. The refinement lasts 21/24 months and takes place half in 30 hL Slavonian oak barrels and the other half in 50 hL French oak barrels. Ruby red with garnet reflections. Aromas of ripe fruit, aromatic herbs and spicy and peppery notes. Full, complex and persistent mouth with soft tannins. Perfect to accompany first courses with meat and game ragù, it is ideal with mature cheeses typical of the Tuscan gastronomic tradition. The Seggio river is the largest watercourse in the munipality of Castagneto Carducci. Its source is up in the
metalliferous hills of Sassetta, an area that was already well known in the Etruscan period, which is extremely rich
in underground deposits of ferrous minerals. It cuts across the entire area of Bolgheri and its alluvial debris
enriches the charateristic clay soils with precious large pebbles, thus ensuring excellent drainage of the soil. This

Deir, which means Monastery, comes from the marriage of Syrah and Merlot, with a prevalence of Syrah: the two
grapes varietals are vinified separataly in open vats of stainless steel with a long maceration. The wines are
aged always separately in medium and small wooden casks for at least 12 months and the assembled later. The
wine has an anthralling olfactory impact: small black fruits, black cherries, aromatic herbs and dark minerals are
just some of the countless sensations. On the palate, everything commingles and meets anew. The dynamic
flavors find harmony beetween the powerful tannins and the finesse of the fresh nuances. The imposin structure
