Lagavulin 16 Years Old is a rich and dry whisky with not overly pronounced maritime notes. A taste of this single malt will transport you to the island of Islay, where everything moves at a leisurely pace and where Lagavulin is aged for 16 years in oak casks. An intense, smoky, and sweet whisky with a great finish.
Deep amber and golden in colour. Initially, the notes of peat smoke with iodine and seaweed emerge, followed by a rich and deep sweetness. On the palate, it is dense with notes of malt, clouds of smoke, and hints of dried fruit. The finish is decidedly long, spicy, and peaty with a slight aftertaste of sweet vanilla.

The “Green Label” Whisky originates from a meticulous blend of four different Single Malts, sourced from Speyside, the Highlands, the Lowlands, and finally, the Scottish islands. These Single Malts are distilled from the finest barley and wheat, as the choice of raw materials is fundamental for the Johnnie Walker distillery, to create products of impeccable quality that leave a well-defined mark on the market. Once the final blend is made, the resulting Whisky is allowed to rest for 15 years in oak barrels before being bottled and marketed.
This “Green Label” is a Whisky that, in the glass, presents itself with a very intense and compact golden yellow colour. The range of aromas offered to the nose highlights enveloping notes, where coffee and chocolate blend with more briny and smoky sensations. On the palate, it has excellent body, is broad and enveloping, with a dry sip, characterised by a taste of dried fruit and black pepper.
