The aromatic grape variety with its unmistakable reddish berries comes from an area near the winery and is now widely spread around the world. Unlike many international Gewürztraminer, this one is vinified dry. It results in a memorable fruity-spicy type of wine. It is seductive for its aromatic fullness.

Until the 1980s, we find some Chardonnay vines in the vineyards suited for Pinot Bianco. It was in 1982 that Chardonnay was vinified for the first time in purity thanks to the Cantina San Michele-Appiano. Since then, this wine has experienced significant development. It presents itself magnificently juicy, inviting, and with a long persistence.

This renowned grape variety prefers higher altitudes, performing best up to 900 meters above sea level. The Müller Thurgau impresses with its fruity aroma, as well as its lively acidity.

Introduced in its second homeland – South Tyrol – as early as 1850, Pinot Bianco is one of the most important white wines of our winery. Bottled for the first time in 1982, Schulthauser is now among the most well-known Pinot Bianco in the South Tyrolean landscape. A complete wine, finely fruity and fresh, capable of seducing the palate both for its creamy softness and its pronounced acidity.

VINIFICATION
the majority (85%) is fermented in steel tanks, the remainder in wooden barrels with subsequent malolactic fermentation. The two wines are then blended in February.

The charming Gewürztraminer is certainly one of the most memorable varieties in the world wine scene. Since 1986, it has been recognized as a characteristic wine of the line with its aromatic native grapes. The Gewürztraminer Sanct Valentin is characterized by its intense and complex bouquet, rich in fruity and spicy scents and aromas. It stands out for its pleasantness and guarantees a delightful drink even after many years.

It was in 1989 that the most famous white wine of our winery was born. For over 30 years, the Sauvignon Sanct Valentin has benefited from single and selected parcels located on the slopes at the foot of the Mendola, to produce a wine of the highest profile. With seductive fruit, excellent minerality, and persistence, this wine is the most important of the Sanct Valentin line and one of the most awarded white wines in Italy.

Although it is a variety widespread throughout the world, it is one of the favorite grape varieties of the Winery. Since 1986, this Chardonnay has belonged to the flagship Sanct Valentin line. Grown only in selected microzones of the municipality of Appiano, it guarantees extraordinary grapes that give rise to a precious wine of remarkable strength and elegance. Balance, acidity, and excellent aging potential are its characteristics.
